March 1st and all signed up

The commitment has been made. We are all registered and off to Chicago on Oct. 9th to ring in the 2011 year as our 40th (for some) with marathon!!

Countdown is on.

So the journey begins....

Well, it starts now! Yes, this is the official, long overdue blog from the infamous Fat Cats. A group of awesome Canadian women who found each other nine years ago as they started their journey into motherhood. Brought together by a very special woman named Robin, they quickly realized that they had much more in common then just having their first child.

Fast forward nine years and double + the amount of kids and here we are.
There is much more to tell but this is a start. Welcome to the Fat Cat journal... a blog that chronicles the experiences, highs and lows of motherhood and great friends through a very special group of work-in-progress women that in one way or another represents every woman who is keeping it together in this journey called life.

And, this first blog marks a commitment for some of us (and hopefully many of us!) who have agreed to take on a new challenge-- running our first (and likely only) marathon in Chicago Fall 2011. There it is. Out there in the public eye. Published. Commitment. So no.... we cannot back down now! And we won't. Who is pumped? !!
